Official Statement Re: Mayor's Resignation

On behalf of the Town Council and Administration, we would like to inform our residents and stakeholders that Mayor Roy Skoglund has resigned from his position, effective August 14, 2025.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mayor Skoglund for his service to our community over the past nine months.

Serving on Council is both an honour and a challenge, requiring dedication to legislative responsibilities and an unwavering commitment to the community. Council assures our residents that we remain united in our commitment to work collaboratively, guided by a strong sense of public service and a focus on the greater good.

In accordance with legislation, the Town of Tisdale will take the necessary steps to address this vacancy and will keep the public informed as the process moves forward.
