Canadian Energy Metal and Government of Saskatchewan's Announcement

On January 29, 2026, Canadian Energy Metals Corp. (CEM) announced positive PEA results for its Thor Project, identifying it as a potentially world-leading, large-scale alumina resource. The assessment outlines a Measured and Indicated Resource of 49.5 billion tonnes, containing 6.8 billion tonnes of alumina, supporting a $6.3B USD project with an estimated post-tax IRR of 72% and an NPV (10%) of $72.3B.

A big day for Tisdale and East Central Saskatchewan. Mayor Mike Hill joined the Premier, the Energy Minister, and others at the University of Saskatchewan as the Thor Project's preliminary economic assessment was unveiled, highlighting the potential for Canada’s first major alumina resource right here in our region. This positions Tisdale at the heart of Canada’s critical minerals future and marks a major economic opportunity as we continue working with Canadian Energy Metals and the Province.

"What defines Tisdale is our work ethic, our optimism, and our willingness to embrace new opportunities. Tisdale is open for business, open for innovation and ready for the future". - Mayor Mike Hill
